New LED range of Taxi Signs 

May 2008 Private Hire and Taxi Monthly Exibition in Coventry was a great success in getting our products recognised on a national level.  

Our new range of LED Taxi Signs have proved to be the step forward that the market was looking for with no more need to change awkward bulbs as these last for 100,000 hours.

We are also looking forward to introducing our new Safety Sign which incorporates a wireless safety device into the Driving Instructor Sign.

Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd appear in the Northern Echo and the Wear Valley Advertiser

Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd was recently interviewed by the Northern Echo’s Head Reporter for an article on the difficulties facing companies wanting to expand on South Church Enterprise Park.

The company have faced a very trying time lately applying to the Council for Industrial Units based on the Industrial Estate with the hoping of expanding their increasing successful company. The company are reaching the point where the current premises will simply not be big enough and more manufacturing space will be required, however the Council have been unwilling to offer any assistance.

Without any assistance from the Council Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd may soon be faced with the difficult decision of potentially moving production to another area or cutting back production. The latter option Plastic Mouldings Northern is unwilling to take as letting down customers old and new is not an avenue they want to consider.

To date three Industrial Units have come up for sale on the Industrial Estate and each time they have been awarded to the same company, a company that has council links.

Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of their new and much improved website.

The site will be updated on a regular basis and will contain company information for customers old and new from all levels and industries.

The website is also set to be developed further over the coming months with the aim of eventually allowing customers to purchase finished goods and order items over the internet.

Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd Secure another British Aerospace Contract

Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd has secured another large contract with an international company manufacturing components for British Aerospace.

Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd was consulted by the company for a solution to their transportation needs. They required a safe method for transporting parts between production sites that would prove cost effective, were reusable and would minimise damage to the components.

Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd offered them the perfect solution in the form of tight fitting vacuum formed trays which has proved so successful the company have since re-ordered and to date have reported absolutely no damage to parts.

Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd Extend Site at Bishop Auckland

Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd has just completed a the extension to their site at South Church Enterprise Park Bishop Auckland.

This extension has doubled the factory size enabling productivity to increase by 75%.

Three more machines have also been added to the range and as a result Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd can now cater for more customers and produce items to tighter deadlines.

First 5 Axis CNC Machining Centre

New CNC 5 Axis Vacuum Forming Machine

PMN have recently taken delivery of their first 5 axis CNC machining centre to compliment their already impressive range of plastic vacuum forming machines. Designed specifically for the machining of thermoformed and composite components the MAKA CNC "gives us the ability to consistently finish complex mouldings in a fraction of the time required by manual methods" says Technical Director Mark Rigg. Sales Director Freddy Bourdais adds the delivery of the MAKA 5 AXIS CNC MACHINE "underlines PMN’s commitment to fulfil our customers demand for quality and repeatability". Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd has just taken delivery of a state of the art Formech Machine. The machine has been custom built to enable Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd the capabilities to successfully complete their various customers’ orders.

The machine has been designed to give Plastic Mouldings Northern Ltd the flexibility to cater for their customers’ needs and requirements and offers short run and long run, thin gauge and heavy gauge material.

This machine is the first of this specification to be installed in the UK.

In a venture to promote North East manufacturing, Plastic Mouldings Northern are pleased to announce that they have recently secured a packaging contract with Nestlé Rowntree, in Fawdon - home of the UK’s best-loved confectionery brands such as Rolo, Caramac and Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles.

Established Bishop Auckland company: Plastic Mouldings Northern has increased production by nearly 50% year on year by increasing their customer base within the North East, UK and recently Europe having built up a good reputation for their level of service and quality products.
